I assume you guys are talking about the “new” Dr. Who. In my very humble opinion, the original series from the 1960′s is much more entertaining, and much easier to get a woman interested in. No one can listen to the original version of the theme song without being thrilled!

I’ll watch The Doctor any day of the week. SOOOOO much better than the drivel that was The Time Traveler’s Wife. Start 2 Doctors back and work forward. I’m currently cableless and the only thing I miss is spending time with The Doctor.

P.S. Think Geek has a Tardis Mug. It (like the “real Tardis”) is huge…on the inside. Love my hot cocoa in the morning drinking from it.

I’ll have to check out the mug, and watch the early doctors, too. Thanks for the comment. Have a fab day!

My wife really liked the first two doctors of the current series.
I think the first episode of new series is a good place to start.
What if she doesn’t want to watch a movie as good as The Time Traveler’s Wife?
Warning about the older Doctor Who the effects budget wasn’t so great so they BBC often relied on things less practiced like good acting. Tom Baker is my favorite Who.
My wife isn’t that thrilled with older series because not new, shiny, and flashy.
I have been wondering if internet is faster this year because BBC not forcing Americans with cable tv to pirate shows.
