Emma being Sheriff does give more of an equal footing for Emma against the Mayor within the town instead of just the arguments over Henry. I like Emma fighting for Henry, but we also need to see Emma fighting for the people of the town. And to give her the authority of Sheriff would give her the ability to stand against the Evil Queen on the side of the people and create relationships with the people of the town in the right way that you would want for what Emma is going to mean for the town. This would then lead into the fight against the Evil Queen to end the curse once Emma starts believing. I understand that people were fans of the Sheriff, but there is a lot to like about him being gone story wise. A lot of good points there Bob. I have been catching up with the past podcast episodes and will be ready to go with the start of the new year. I am slowed down because every time I listen to your podcast I hear a something that I missed and have to go back and watch the show again. I agree that the Queen and Rumplestiltskin know who they are in Storybrook. I also think that Mr. Gold has some sort of power as he always just "shows" up. I noticed the Indiana Jones connection too...and I don't know if it was just me, but the Queen's castle looks like the superman's fortress of solitude... and the first wolf is not the same on this episode, the one on Pilot has both eyes of the same color...maybe there are more wolves? And that heart vault on FTL is bigger than that in SB, If the Queen could take it with her, I think she took just the essential...
